Machine Operator

Summary

Guided by our principals of Mutual Respect, Trust, Teamwork, Communication, and Responsibility, the Operator I is responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities within their department. This person must be able to undertake a combination of physical and mental work that ranges from filling out paperwork to routine communication of job assignments required. This individual must multitask, provide quick responses/solutions to unforeseen production problems, and must always exhibit a professional, efficient demeanor.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare the assigned machine and the production line to complete orders efficiently
  • Assign tasks to production line employees working on the assigned machine
  • Relay clear instructions and procedures so that all tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Verify raw/pre-processed material on work order to ensure correct amount is available for production
  • Process raw materials into the machine and monitor the production line to maximize quality and productivity
  • Complete paperwork for QA and Production, and any other associated administrative tasks related to the production line
  • Update records to show what’s been completed and report any issues to the Production Supervisor/Manager
  • Motivate your team and show support and guidance when necessary
  • Ensure all production machinery operates smoothly
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and safety regulations
  • Follow all safety guidelines; Report any work-related injuries to HR as soon as possible (no later than 24 hours)
  • Monitor production floor for any safety hazards and report issues to Production Supervisor and/or HR
  • Answer radio requests; Respond to questions and solve problems
  • Inform Production Supervisor of whereabouts, attendance, and activities; Proactively identify problems and potential problems, and offer possible solutions
  • Required to fill various rolls on production floor including, but not limited to, Operator, Wrangler, Stager, Packager or any other line job as required
  • Show respect and sensitivity toward cultural differences; Promote a harassment and discrimination free environment

Production Supervisor

Dry Storage Wrangler

National meat processor/supplier has an immediate need for an experienced Electric Pallet Jack Operator (Wrangler). The Wrangler is responsible for all aspects of picking, packing, and movement of all products within the warehouse, freezer, cooler and dry goods.

Research and Development Technician

Summary

The Research & Development Technician supports the Product Development & Inside Sales Manager by assisting with the research and development of sales for potential and current customers.  This person is highly motivated, goal-oriented, and strives to meet and exceed expectations; Must be enthusiastic, patient, have excellent problem solving and follow through skills; Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment; And must always exhibit a professional, efficient demeanor. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prints spec sheets for products and items under development
  • Completes daily labor tracking worksheets to track employees working specific samples
  • Executes and documents activities in support of the development and creation of new product initiatives
  • Prepares customer samples and new products including weighing out ingredients, pulling meat, and mixing marinades; Assists cooking and plating samples for guest(s)
  • Ensures samples are packaged with correct labeling
  • Packages and prepares samples for shipment via FedEx
  • Manages inventory of FedEx supplies; Orders supplies to ensure stock is adequate
  • Manages and maintains laboratory ingredients, supplies, and equipment; Cleans and sanitizes test kitchen; Ensures cabinets and drawers are clean, organized, and well stocked
  • Assists and supports the Product Development & Inside Sales Manager with various tasks
  • Follows all R & D safety protocols; Observes ACM safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports potentially unsafe conditions
  • Reviews email and voice messages; Prioritizes daily workload; Responds to questions and solves problems
  • Informs manager of whereabouts, attendance, and activities; Proactively identifies problems and potential problems, and offers potential solutions

The key responsibilities of a Job Cost Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with production supervisors to ensure accuracy and consistency of Production Entries; Closing Production Entries, recording data in spreadsheets, and analyzing costs.
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity; Researching inventory discrepancies, resolving issues, making needed corrections; Documenting and controlling aged & damaged product.
  • Assisting in physical audits and providing necessary support to Accounting; Maintaining product records, labeling and specification criteria; Maintaining inventory reporting and other management reporting.

Facility Technician

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assists the maintenance department by completing repairs, installation, and general upkeep to the facility.

The key responsibilities of the Facility Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Addresses general building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, damage, emergencies, and repairs); Completes tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical installation.
  • Performs maintenance, repairs, or remodeling of the facility including activities such as painting, carpentry, caulking, sealing and like tasks as assigned; Determines when outside vendor(s) should be consulted.
  • Dismantles and installs furnishings; Monitors and replaces light bulbs throughout the facility.
  • Completes emergency/ unscheduled repairs as required to support manufacturing, as well as scheduled repairs/preventive maintenance.
  • Works closely with maintenance personnel on small projects including repairs and new construction projects to ensure work is completed safely and according to specifications.
  • Provides accurate and timely documentation of assigned work orders.

Bobtail Driver

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and offloading all trucks with product and all aspects of driving assigned pick-ups and deliveries.

The key responsibilities of the Bobtail Driver include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare/label Cartons/Pallets for shipment to customer.
  • Prepare/label/receive incoming product for storage in freezer/cooler.
  • Prepare/pull/stage product for daily processing.
  • Move/Transfer product as necessary with pallet jack or forklift.
  • Uses scan gun and/or TI station to complete all inventory transactions.
  • Drive truck on assigned pick-up and delivery routes safely.
  • Load/unload all trucks with product.
  • Perform pre-inspection checks before operating vehicle. Notify Warehouse Manager of any maintenance or repair issues.
  • Conduct regular truck inspections and submit documentation to Warehouse Manager.
